IBC – Referral Enthusiasts
In the last few weeks IBC (International Bank of Commerce) brought me into their Austin and Houston market for training on word of mouth referral networking to 55 branch managers. This is a company that has set a mark on domestic and international clients in retail and commercial. I did a 45 minute Lunch and Learn on “Five Must Have Networking Tools.”
They responded…and were making new business connections by the end of the week! One networking enthusiast manager wrote back the following day. “It was a blessing to meet you. You have given me the push and knowledge I need to be successful at IBC…and I thank you for that!” Naomi speaks for many professionals who depend on referrals to meet their goals and drive their business!
What were their take-aways from the training?
1. The Elevator Pitch gave us CONFIDENCE.
Ok….what can I say. Confidence sells. If sales professionals and managers show up at a Chamber of Commerce meeting feeling like they have something to say…. they exude confidence. It’s makes them a Networking Enthusiast!
2. Where to Network
This is a big one…because only a handful of venues come to mind. Most of those include Chamber of Commerce, Rotary or Real Estate Events. During my presentation, I went over 50 different networking venue opportunities.
Here is the point: Training accelerates networking results.
It isn’t that people don’t necessarily want to get out there; they just don’t know what to do or say.
IBC got their first taste. More to come!
Companies with a large or small sales base are a great referral for NICHE Networking.
